TryNio — AI Fashion Try-On
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Effective date: May 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TryNio ("TryNio", "we", "us", "our"), an iOS application that lets you virtually try on clothing using AI, collects, uses, stores and shares information. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app.
Company / App
- App name: TryNio — AI Fashion Try-On
- Platform: iOS
- Contact email: puranjan@ionio.io
- Effective date: May 18, 2026
What We Collect
To provide the try-on experience and improve our AI, we collect the following information that you choose to provide or that is generated as you use the app:
- Closet / wardrobe photos you upload.
- One full-body photo of you, which may contain your face.
- Individual garment images you extract from photos or add manually.
- Try-on result images generated by the AI from your inputs.
- Style preferences you set, including aesthetics, occasions, gender and body type.
- Pose selection and other try-on context (e.g. background or fit instructions).
- An anonymous device-level user ID — a random UUID stored in the iOS Keychain. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
- Standard technical data, such as timestamps, app version and basic crash / usage information needed to keep the app stable.
What We Do Not Collect
- Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address or any account-level identity.
- Your contacts, precise location, microphone audio or health data.
- Your payment information — all payments are handled by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat.
How We Use Your Data
- To generate try-on results. The photos and context you submit for a try-on are sent to Google's Gemini API for AI processing, which returns the generated image back to the app.
- To improve our AI. Uploaded photos, generated results and related context (style preferences, pose, garment metadata) are securely stored on our own servers — Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3, in the us-east-1 region — and used internally to train and improve TryNio's AI models. We do not use this data to identify you, target ads at you, or build a biometric profile of you.
- To debug, stabilize and secure the app, using basic crash and usage information.
Who We Share Data With (Sub-processors)
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate TryNio. They process your data only on our instructions and under their own terms:
- Google LLC — Gemini API for image generation. Subject to Google's API terms. Privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — secure cloud storage on S3 in us-east-1. Privacy notice.
- Apple Inc. — App Store distribution, in-app payments and basic device APIs. Privacy policy.
- RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat does not receive any of your images. Privacy policy.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use your images for targeted advertising or to build a biometric identity profile.
Storage & Retention
- Your photos and try-ons are stored locally on your device so you can view your closet and history offline.
- Copies are also stored on our secure AWS S3 storage so we can improve the AI model.
- We retain training data for as long as you have the app installed, unless you request deletion (see "Your Rights" below).
Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about your anonymous user ID.
- Deletion — email puranjan@ionio.io with your anonymous user ID and we will delete your data from our systems. An in-app "Delete my data" button is coming soon.
- Opt out of AI training — you can request that your data no longer be used to improve our AI models.

BIPA notice (Illinois users)
The full-body photo you upload may contain facial features. We do not use it to identify you or to build a biometric template. It is used only to render you in outfits and to improve the AI model. By using the app and agreeing in the in-app consent screen, you provide written consent under 740 ILCS 14/15(b) for TryNio to collect, store and use this information for the purposes described in this Policy. Data is retained as described in "Storage & Retention" and deleted on request.
